A clever modernist abstract, possibly the work of Argentine sculptor, Raúl Farco (b. 1953). Not a major part of Farco’s oeuvre, his paintings are strong and unique—both conceptually and technically. The ideas and figures of his sculptures are seen to recur in his paintings. The enormous variety of visual textures here recalls Farco’s thorough mastery of sculpture mediums and their patinas: iron, wood, marble, aluminum, fiberglass, stone, and bronze.
