A pair of surrealistic abstractions by an anonymous East German painter. Both works depict dystopian dreamscapes piped through with intersecting timbers and metallic, ice-crystal obelisks—where the woodgrain of the former adds a hint of proto-“steampunk” flavor. The medium seems to be acrylic paint applied to cotton-rag paper. The predominant colors encompass brown, purple, yellow, blue, and teal. Priced separately, but available for combined purchase at a reduced rate. We love the hyper-quotidian quality of the assertively Eastern Bloc framing!
