GÖSTA GRÄHS is a Swedish potter and sculptor, born in 1938.  He is counted among Sweden's leading ceramic artists of the last century.  Following studies at Konstfack (the University of Arts, Crafts and Design) in Stockholm from 1961-65, he ran his own studio for many years before signing on with the Swedish porcelain manufacturer RÖRSTRAND in 1982.  He was employed there through 1986, becoming a prominent designer of figurines and teapots notable for their swelling shapes and humor.  His works are represented at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, and elsewhere.  Grähs is married to ceramicist Kerstin Hörnlund (b. 1940).
