Here's a great little corseted Mid Century Modern foyer table with a 36" travertine top and dramatically splayed legs. the top rests on a plywood sub-top which is attached directly to the leg structure. It is possible to permanently affix the plywood to the stone with construction adhesive, or leave it detached if you think you might change it out for something else down the road. It is perfectly stable either way. It would be an excellent statement piece in a large entryway, or in any other spot in your modern interior!
