INK AND TISSUE PAPER COLLAGE BY UNKNOWN ARTIST (1978)
CONTACT US HERE ABOUT THIS ITEM.
A mixed-media collage of tissue paper shards. Dyed to various organic shades of green and brown that encompass the quintessential ’70s shades of Harvest Gold and Avocado Green, the fragments are folded, layered, and shellacked into place on a stained background. The composition is split horizontally by a dark phalanx of gauzy figures, with moss above and sand below. Splattered all over with discrete dribbles of India ink. Indistinctly signed and dated in the lower right-hand corner. (Please be aware that the Plexiglas frame needs some minor repairs. For the time being, this represents our “as-is” price.)
