The origin of these metal Devil's head ashtrays are a bit of mystery.  They tend to turn up with some frequency, but they also tend to vary widely in quality, detail, and materials used.  we've seen them in pot metal, aluminum, and brass.  Some have sharp clear features while others appear to be amateurish castings of castings of castings, many with chemically applied patinas.

The one before you now is made of solid high quality brass, with a beautiful natural patina of age, and features that are crisp and clear.  But Its most striking feature, and the thing that sets it apart from others of similar quality, is its bright blue pair of glass evil eyes.  While we're sure that others like it must exist, we can honestly say that out of the hundreds of these that we have seen, this one so far remains unique.
